In Star Trek VIII First Contact, a collective of part humanoid, part machine beings faces the Federation in what would be the biggest battle of all time during the 24th century. This collective is called the Borg. They lose and desperately attempt to go back in time to April 4th, 2063. They want to stop Earth’s First Contact with an alien species. Captain Picard (Stewart) and the crew of the Enterprise-E (NCC 1701-E) go back in time to make sure that Zefram Cochrane (Cromwell) makes his warp flight.  However, the Enterprise runs into unexpected trouble when they start to assimilate the Enterprise.
