Description

This superb filmcell features the movie, Robin and Marian (1976). Stars Sean Connery, Audrey Hepburn, Nicol Williamson and Robert Shaw.

A sort of tragicomedy and adventure version of Robin Hood. With Robin (Connery) and Little John (Williamson) returning to their old Sherwood haunts. They are both world weary from the Crusades and their sickening brutality. Robin Hood and Little John are informed by former cohorts that Maid Marian (Hepburn) now lives at the nearby priory, where she has become an abbess. Marian greets Robin’s return with mixed feelings. Robin then rescues her from his longtime enemy, the Sheriff of Nottingham (Shaw) who has tried to have her arrested on religious grounds. Robin and Marian then return to become lovers once again.
