The film is set in Hounslow, West London and Hamburg. Two 18 year olds Jassminder “Jess” (Nagra) and Juliette “Jules” (Knightley) have their hearts set on a future in professional soccer. Heart stopping talent doesn’t seem to be enough and their parents want them to hang up their football boots. All they want is for them to find a nice boyfriend and learn to cook the perfect chapatti.
