Description

It is the Summer of 1963 in Wyoming. Focus is on two young men, Ennis (Ledger) a ranch hand and Jack (Gyllenhaal) an aspiring rodeo bull rider. They are sent to work together to herd sheep on Brokeback Mountain. What had otherwise been anticipated to be a rather uneventful venture, will soon turn into an affair of love and of lust. The complications of which will span 19 years of their lives. Through marriage, children, and the mighty grip of societal confines and expectations of what it is to be a man.
