Description

This superb filmcell features the twice Oscar nominated movie, Logan’s Run (1976). Stars Jenny Agutter, Michael York and Richard Jordan.

Logan’s Run is set in 2274. The survivors of a holocaust have sealed themselves into a domed city near Washington, D.C. To maintain the population balance, the computers that run the city have decreed that all people must die at 30. Sandmen enforce the system. They are black-clad police operatives who terminate “runners”. Logan, a Sandman, is sent on a mission to find “sanctuary”. This is a codeword used by the master computer for what it believes is a place to which runners have been escaping. Logan meets a runner, Jessica (Agutter) and Logan begins to question the system which he serves. This is after seeing for himself that there is life beyond the dome. He returns to destroy the computer.
