In the 1952 set Mambo Kings, the popular musician brothers, Cesar (Assante) and Nestor Castillo (Banderas) have made enemies in Cuba and leave for America. Here they hope to hit the top of the Latin music scene. Cesar is the older brother, the business manager, and the ladies’ man. Nestor is the brooding songwriter, who cannot forget Maria (Soto) in Cuba, who had broke his heart.
