A Midsummer Night’s Sex Comedy is centered on a weekend party. The party is held at the home of the inventor, Andrew Hobbs (Allen) and his wife Ariel (Farrow). A randy doctor, his nurse and a renowned philosopher, Dr. Leopold (Ferrer ) and his fiancée attend the party. Their various emotional, intellectual and sexual entanglements then ensue. The film is loosely based on Ingmar Bergman’s Smiles of a Summer Night.
