Mission Impossible II sees IMF agent Ethan Hunt (Cruise) being sent out on another mission. Hunt is to retrieve and destroy the supply of a genetically created disease called Chimera. This is made impossible due to the fact that he is not the only person after samples of the disease. He must also contest with a gang of international terrorists headed by a turned-bad former IMF agent. This agent has already managed to steal the cure which is called Bellerophon and they now need Chimera to complete their grand plan. This is to infect the whole world. Agent Hunt needs the help of international thief Nyah (Newton) of whom he quickly develops a love interest. Time is running out as he must also find Bellerophon. This is to save his love interest who has already become infected by the disease.
