Description
This superb filmcell features the legendary Canadian singer-songwriter, Neil Young. Born in 1945, his music is characterized by deeply personal lyrics, distinctive guitar work, and a signature falsetto, tenor singing voice.
After the breakup of his first band, Buffalo Springfield, in the 1960s, Neil Young became part of Crosby, Stills and Nash. During the 1970s and into the 1980s he was to become a solo artist. In 1989 he returned to prominence with the single Rockin’ in the Free World which hit No. 2 in the US charts. The accompanying album, Freedom, had rocketed him back into popularity. Young has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice; first as a solo artist in 1995 and then again in 1997 as a member of Buffalo Springfield.
