In Jewel the Nile, the sequel to Romancing the Stone, Jack (Douglas) and Joan (Turner) have their yacht and easy life. They are gradually getting bored with each other and with this way of life. Joan accepts an invitation to go to a middle eastern country as a guest of a sheik, but there she is abducted and finds herself involved with the “jewel”. Jack decides to rescue her with his new partner Ralph (DeVito). They all go from one adventure to another  for the story of the “jewel”.
