In the movie Trapped, a criminal mastermind named Hickey (Bacon) and his lover Cheryl (Love) have abducted a rich doctor’s child. Her ransom was smoothly collected within 24 hours and without any fuss. Now it’s to be the turn of the brilliant medical inventor, Will Jennings’s daughter, Abby (Fanning). However, her mother, Karen, (Theron) points out that the child needs to have asthma medication. Will then uses his skills on Cheryl and the smooth script starts to degenerate into panic improvisation. This proves to be dangerous for all.
