Description
This superb filmcell features the English actor, comedian and singer, Peter Sellers (1925-1980). Sellers performed in the BBC Radio comedy series The Goon Show. He later became known worldwide through his many film characterisations, among them Chief Inspector Clouseau in The Pink Panther films.
Peter Sellers began his film career during the 1950s. His comedy often parodied characters of authority such as military officers or policemen as well as other film genres and roles. His films include; I’m All Right Jack (1959), Stanley Kubrick’s Lolita (1962) and Dr. Strangelove (1964), What’s New, Pussycat? (1965), Casino Royale (1967), The Party (1968), Being There (1979) and the five Pink Panther film series (1963–78). Having won Oscar and Golden Globe awards, Turner Classic Movies had called Sellers, “one of the most accomplished comic actors of the late 20th century”.
