In The Mambo Kings, the two brothers, Cesar (Assante) and Nestor (Banderas) are both musicians. They leave Cuba for America in the 1950s and are hoping to hit the top of the Latin music scene. Cesar is the older brother, he is also the business manager and the ladies’ man. Nestor is the brooding songwriter. He can not forget the woman in Cuba who had broke his heart.
