Description
This superb filmcell features the movie, Lisztomania (1975). Stars Roger Daltrey, Sara Kestelman, Paul Nicholas and Ringo Starr.
Lisztomania is a send up of the bawdy life of the romantic composer and piano virtuoso Franz Liszt (Daltrey). With ubiquitous phallic imagery, the film has a good portion devoted to Liszt’s friendship with his fellow composer Richard Wagner (Nicholas). The film begins during the time when Franz would give a piano performance to a crowd of shrieking teenage fans. This was while he was maintaining affairs with multiple mistresses! He eventually seeks Princess Carolyne of St. Petersburg (Kestelman) at her invitation and then elopes. Their marriage is forbidden by the Pope (Starr) and he embraces the monastic life as an abbé.
This is a Limited Edition Film Cell of just 1000 pieces and comes with a Numbered plaque.
