Description

This superbly presented trio filmcell features the movie, Quadrophenia (1979). Stars Phil Daniels, Leslie Ash, Philip Davis, Mark Wingett and Sting.

Set in the 1960s and against the soundtrack of The Who’s 1973 mighty concept album, Quadrophenia. Jimmy (Daniels) is a drug induced Mod. He hates his job and is misunderstood by his parents. By night, he comes alive with his friends Steph (Ash), Chalky (Davis) and Dave (Wingett). Always on a high, life can’t get any better. Then there is also the Brighton scooter run. Here both the Mods and the Rockers converge. It then ends with the battle of the two cults on Brighton Beach. What goes up must come down, and with Jimmy’s come down, his life is turned around. This begins his downward spiral into paranoia and isolation, and the four-faceted mindset: Quadrophenia.
