Description

This superb filmcell features the twice Golden Globe nominated movie, Silk Stockings (1957). Stars Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse.

Silk Stockings is a musical remake of Ninotchka. Three bumbling Soviet agents fail in their mission to retrieve a straying Soviet composer from Paris. The beautiful and ultraserious Ninotchka (Charisse) is sent to complete their mission and retrieve the agents. Ninotchka starts out condemning the decadent West but gradually she starts to fall under its spell. This is aided along by the American film producer, Steve Canfield (Astaire).
