Description
This superb filmcell features the legendary 1960’s American band, The Monkees. The band members include; Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, Peter Tork and Davy Jones. They formed in Los Angeles in 1965 for the American television series, The Monkees, 1966-68.
The Monkees have sold more than 75 million records worldwide. Their hits included Last Train to Clarksville, Pleasant Valley Sunday and Daydream Believer. At their peak in 1967, the band outsold the Beatles and the Rolling Stones combined. 1986 saw a revival of interest in The Monkees television show which led to a series of reunion tours and new records. Up until 2011, the group had reunited and toured several times. Despite the sudden death of Davy Jones in 2012 they had reunited for tours in 2012 and 2013.
