Description

This superb filmcell features the Oscar nominated movie, The New World (2005). Stars Colin Farrell, Q’orianka Kilcher and Christian Bale.

In The New World, A 17th century explorer called Captain John Smith (Farrell) and a few of his men trade with Indians. He befriends the princess Pocahontas (Kilcher) and they fall in love. Smith must continue his duties. He is president of Jamestown Fort and challenges what is the better path for himself. That is to stay with the fallen apart colony or go upriver and love Pocahontas. The Indians realise that the English do not mean to leave and so they attack. A few men at the fort then decide to capture Pocahontas as a hostage so that the Indians will not attack them. Smith is ordered to leave Jamestown by the King. John Rolfe (Bale) a wealthy tobacco planter then arrives at the fort. Pocahontas, now living there adapts to the English culture and falls in love with Rolfe. She must decide who she is dedicated to, Smith or Rolfe.
