This superb film cell features the English born, American comedian, actor and singer, Bob Hope.
Bob Hope featured in over seventy films and shorts in a career that had spanned nearly eighty years. He had hosted the Academy Awards fourteen times. As a movie star, Hope was best known for comedies such as My Favorite Brunette (1947). Bob Hope also had a highly successful series of road movies in which he starred with Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour. These seven films included; Road to Singapore (1940), Road to Zanzibar (1941), Road to Morocco (1942), Road to Utopia (1946), Road to Rio (1947), Road to Bali (1952) and The Road to Hong Kong (1962). Hope had also performed for the United Service Organisation (USO). These shows would entertain active American military personnel.
