Raise Your Voice is a coming of age story centered around the small-town singer, Teresa ‘Terri’ Fletcher (Duff). Teresa is brokenhearted by the death of her brother in a car crash. He had secretly submitted her for a summer session at a performing arts academy in Los Angeles. In this academy, she experiences a whole new way of life in the big city. This is far from the small-town lifestyle she was used to. The film revolves around Teresa’s efforts to confront her lack of formal classic training and also how she deals with a romantic entanglement.
